Cadet Legacy Residence
Upper Quad North Residence Hall is a five-story residence dedicated to the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets, replacing the historic Femoyer Hall. Designed in the Collegiate Gothic style that defines the campus, the building reinforces Virginia Tech’s architectural legacy while delivering durable, sustainable housing for 299 cadets.
Wells served as the architectural precast partner on this joint venture project with Tindall. Our scope included the design and fabrication of architectural precast concrete elements that shape the building’s exterior expression and support the university’s aesthetic and longevity goals. The façade integrates Hokie Stone, architectural precast concrete, and punched windows to create a cohesive appearance that aligns seamlessly with surrounding campus buildings.
