At the Newell Brands Headquarters (formerly Rubbermaid), Wells delivered a series of cantilevered concrete benches designed to balance visual clarity, durability, and everyday usability in a high-traffic outdoor setting. The benches were fabricated using DEX, supporting a refined architectural expression while meeting the demands of long-term performance.

Free of visible supports, the cantilevered design maintains clean sightlines and encourages open movement throughout the site, eliminating common trip hazards and hard-to-clean conditions associated with traditional bench supports. Wells coordinated fabrication and detailing to achieve a sleek, unobstructed profile while ensuring comfort, structural integrity, and ease of maintenance. Cast in high-performance concrete and finished in a custom DEXterity color, the benches provide a durable, low-maintenance seating solution aligned with both architectural intent and operational needs. Recessed ground lighting reinforces the sculptural form after dark — enhancing safety while highlighting the minimalist design language of the site.
