Improvements to the Community
The Greenheck Turner Community Center, an expansion of the existing Greenheck Fieldhouse at DC Everest in Weston, WI, is a 135,000 sq ft facility designed to support year-round sports, wellness, and community events. The state-of-the-art facility features a full-size indoor turf field, walking track, and batting cages, offering a range of youth sports and programming for the community.
Prefabricated walls were used for the building envelope, utilizing an exposed aggregate architectural finish to match the existing structure. Due to the scale of the new community center, some of the panels were stacked on top of each other to meet the height requirements of the exterior facade. Wells was engaged in the early design stages, collaborating closely with the project team to ensure the prefabricated building envelope integrated seamlessly with the steel structure. This early coordination identified connection requirements in advance — supporting efficient installation and helping the team avoid potential construction delays.
