Advanced Infrastructure

Denver Water’s Northwater Treatment Plant is an impressive addition to the area’s water infrastructure, strategically located just north of Golden, CO. The facility addresses Denver’s growing demand for clean water by processing up to 75 million gallons daily, with provisions for future expansion. The project includes a campus of eight buildings, each with distinct roles ranging from administrative spaces to specialized buildings for sediment tanks and chemical processing. The design incorporates state-of-the-art water processing technologies and allows for future upgrades as demands on the plant increase.

Wells provided various prefabricated components for the campus, the majority being wall panels. The exterior of the panels features a buff acid etch that blends the structures into the surrounding landscape. Precast building materials were essential for long-term resilience, engineered to withstand the facility’s unique water-processing environment.
