Craftsmanship, Collaboration, and Design Excellence

Debuting on April 14, 2009, the St. Regis Atlanta Hotel & Residences combines timeless sophistication with an unrivaled level of luxury, rising 26 floors in the heart of Buckhead. Inspired by the premier luxury hotels of the early twentieth century, the project merges European elegance with Southern grace to establish Atlanta’s second five-star hotel. The development was part of the larger Buckhead Plaza master plan, which included office and residential towers, restaurants, a pedestrian plaza, and a parking deck, as well as additional mixed-use towers and landscaped park space.

Wells played a critical role in bringing this vision to life by creating the architectural facade. Extending from the pedestrian level to the penthouse, the facade features ornate panels with an emulated limestone finish, marrying aesthetic refinement with lasting performance. Through close collaboration with the design team, Wells ensured that each panel reflected the project’s exacting standards, delivering a facade that is both enduring and visually striking — an architectural hallmark befitting the St. Regis name.

“The building design was to follow traditional detailing to allude to a more French Beaux-Arts style architecture,” said Durand Seay, Senior Architect and Design Manager with Rabun Architects. “At the same time, we wanted to utilize a material that was lasting and durable. A standardization of detail, a set of templates as such would be appropriate to the applicable scale and use, were created and incorporated throughout the design, which enabled us to maintain an affordable cost per square foot.”
