An Immersive, Inspiring, Living Laboratory

Middle Tennessee State University’s School of Concrete and Construction Management provides a hands-on environment for students, combining classrooms, labs, and offices into a fully realized 54,000 sq ft learning space. The facility expands opportunities for students to engage directly with construction techniques, materials, and systems.

Wells provided a solution that balanced durability, functionality, and expressive design. The exterior integrates prefabricated panels with varied textures, finishes, and detailing, creating a cohesive campus presence while demonstrating multiple applications of concrete for educational purposes. Board-formed, sandblasted, polished, and graphic panels highlight how material choices influence both performance and aesthetic impact.
