The KLS Martin Manufacturing and Office Facility was envisioned as a high-performance space capable of supporting precision manufacturing, encouraging collaboration and adapting to future growth. The three-story, 55,000 sq ft facility brings manufacturing, engineering and administrative functions together within one integrated system, creating room for nearly 200 team members while reinforcing the company’s commitment to quality and forward momentum.

Early in design, multiple building systems were evaluated. As the project progressed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain instability and volatile material pricing introduced significant risk to schedule and delivery. Wells partnered with the client and design team to advance a fully prefabricated building system that offered durability, architectural clarity and greater certainty in an unpredictable climate. By moving key structural and facade elements into off-site production, the team maintained schedule confidence while upholding high standards for performance and finish.
