Designed for Tropical Modernism

Rising as a defining element in West Palm Beach’s evolving skyline, this 25-story, approximately 285,000-square-foot Class A office tower reflects a contemporary interpretation of tropical modernism. Wells partnered with the design team to help translate a complex architectural vision into a high-performing, buildable enclosure — one that balances visual rhythm, outdoor connectivity, and long-term durability.

Located on a peninsula adjacent to a historically significant Beaux-Arts church, the project required a careful response to both context and community. Wells supported design decisions that allowed the building to bridge past and future, coordinating solutions that conceal parking, frame the neighboring landmark, and support the integration of planted loggias, layered terraces, and a public green anchored by a mature banyan tree. At street level, these efforts reinforce an active pedestrian environment and strengthen the tower’s connection to the surrounding urban fabric.

Throughout design and delivery, Wells worked closely with the project team to resolve complex geometry, large-scale glazing, and tight performance requirements. Early engineering involvement helped simplify panelization, align architectural intent with constructability, and ensure continuity across the facade. This collaborative approach enabled concealed joints, improved watertightness, and precise alignment across intersecting volumes — contributing to both the visual clarity and technical performance of the enclosure.

Sustainability goals shaped many of the project’s key decisions, and Wells’ solutions played an important role in achieving them. A high-performance envelope supports daylighting, passive solar control, and reduced cooling demand, contributing to the tower’s LEED Gold certification. Prefabrication and controlled manufacturing also improved efficiency, accuracy, and installation speed, supporting overall project quality while reducing risk in a challenging coastal environment.

From early coordination through execution, Wells helped the team deliver a landmark development that strengthens West Palm Beach’s skyline and civic realm — a project defined by collaboration, performance, and enduring impact.
