Terrazzo Meets Midtown
Located at the edge of Bryant Park, The Bryant transforms a long-vacant site into a new Midtown landmark. The 32-story mixed-use tower is the first residential condominium built on Bryant Park and the first ground-up residential tower in the United States designed by David Chipperfield Architects. Developed as a joint venture, the project unites two distinct programs—a hotel and residential tower—into a cohesive architectural statement shaped by multiple design teams working toward a shared vision.
The building integrates street-level retail, a boutique hotel across the first 15 floors and 57 residential condominiums above. Programmatic decisions were carefully considered, with the hotel positioned at lower levels where daylight conditions are best suited for hospitality use, and residences elevated above. Shared amenities include a public-facing terrace atop the lower block, while colonnaded terraces crown the building at the penthouse level.
