Elevating Richmond’s Riverfront Legacy

Rising along the James River, Vistas on the James is an 18-story mixed-use high-rise that marks the second phase of a transformative riverfront redevelopment within Richmond’s historic district. To maintain the project’s architectural integrity while ensuring construction efficiency and quality, the team selected Wells to create the architectural facade — featuring embedded thin brick and acid-etch, simulated limestone accents — as a refined alternative to the hand-set brick and cast stone used in Phase I. The result is a landmark structure that honors the city’s enduring character while embodying the precision and performance of modern prefabrication.
