Wells partnered with the design team to transition the next phase to an integrated off-site construction approach. Located along the Atlantic coastline, the condominium is subject to significant wind exposure. Unlike conventional block construction — where progress slowed as height increased — the prefabricated system-maintained installation momentum despite coastal conditions. Crews advanced to the fifth level in just six days, and overall installation required approximately half the time of the original phase.
Beyond speed, precision and consistency defined the outcome. Off-site fabrication improved alignment of vertical shafts produced smoother wall surfaces for finishing and reduced field variability. The streamlined process shortened the overall construction schedule by an estimated six months, reinforcing the value of early collaboration and disciplined engineering.
Following the success of Phase II, the subsequent eight-story Acquilus III condominium was also designed using a fully prefabricated system — extending the development’s architectural continuity while strengthening resilience and efficiency along the oceanfront.
